Alice Cooper will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on March 14 in NYC

Rock fans in Tucson, get ready for a treat!

A huge benefit concert is in the works for Thursday, March 10 at the Tucson Convention Center.  Already slated to perform are Jackson Browne, Alice Cooper, David Crosby & Graham Nash, Sam Moore, Nils Lofgren, Keb’ Mo’, Jerry Riopelle, Dar Williams, Ozomatli, and Calexico.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the newly established Fund for Civility, Respect, and Understanding, a program started by the non-profit Community Foundation for Southern Arizona.  More specifically, the money raised will be used to support those that have been affected by the recent assasination attempt on Tucson-based Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.

The fund aims to “promote civility and respect in public discourse, schools, and the community,” as well as “to increase awareness of mental health symptoms, prevention and treatment services.”

Tickets are currently on sale via Ticketmaster.
